At DTU Fotonik we do research within the understanding of the nature of energy for a greener world and teach our students how to use photovoltaic systems in practice. We are developing online study courses for students around the world. For both DTU students and everyone else intersted in the topic. We develop games for studies to test theory in practice.

Solar Angles

The Obejctives

These lectures cover the physics of the solar resource as well as various irradiance models to calculate the optimal tilt angle necessary for maximizing PV power production.

The Games

This lecture includes two games.
One let the students play with angles in the solar and module perspective to get to know the different angles of the solar panel and the sun it self.

The game / plugin focus on:

Sun Angles: Azimuth - Zenith - Altitude
Panel Angles: Azimuth - Tilt
